HISTORY OF THE PARK
In 1968, Peter Movrich, then town chairman,
supported efforts by the Fifield Lions Club to
create a park. The original name of the park,
Fifield Community Park, was changed to Movrich
Memorial Community Park in 1971 in honor of
its visionary after his death. The Movrich family,
Fifield Community Action Plan (FCAP)
Committee, Friends of the Fifield Firefighters,
Inc. (FFFI), and the Town of Fifield continue to
support efforts to improve the park. Today the
park is a thriving place
for community gatherings and for people
passing through the area.
